Department of Education is one of latest born departments of the college, as it has been established only in 2004 with the teaching permission of Vidyasagar University in terms of letter No V.U/ I.C/ Aff./111/2004-’05 dt. 06.08.2004. Gradually with the increasing demand for the Honours course, Vidyasagar University was pleased to permit the Department to start the Honours course with an intake capacity of 50 students. The Department owns a small yet useful Departmental Library, and students of this department can make use of books from the B.Ed. Section of the college as well. Besides curricular activities, the department also organises different co-curricular activities viz. Freshers’ Welcome, Farewell to outgoing students and Study Tour.
