About Us

Career Counselling is a comprehensive, developmental process designed to assist individuals in making and implementing informed educational and occupational choices. A career guidance and counseling programme develops an individual’s competencies in self-knowledge, educational and occupational exploration, and career planning. The decision of one’s career is one of the most crucial decisions of our lives. Sometimes, students end up making this decision on the basis of inadequate knowledge, and maybe societal pressure. Such decisions may often direct them into careers that are unsuited for them, and thereby lead to stress and dissatisfaction. Therefore, it is important to make an informed decision about one’s career choices. Getting proper guidance can help a student set long-term career goals and find the right path to achieving those goals.

Career Counselling is particularly important for students as they are at a critical juncture in their lives when they need to make decisions that can significantly impact their future. Career Counselling can aid students on the following ways:

  • Informed Decision-Making: Career Counselling provides information about various career options, industries, job roles, and educational pathways. This information empowers students to make decisions based on a clear understanding of their options.
  • Alignment with Interests and Strengths: Career Counselling helps students identify their passions and strengths, allowing them to choose career paths that are a good fit for their individual qualities.
  • Maximising Potential: Career counsellors can recognise a student’s potential and suggest paths that may not have been initially considered. This helps students explore opportunities they might not have been aware of otherwise.

  • Help one identify the factors influencing one’s career development, and help one assess one’s interests, abilities, and values.
  • Help one locate resources and sources of career information.
