On 22nd January, 2019, Tuesday, was held the first meeting of the newly constituted Governing Body of Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya with the President Sri Dibyendu Adhikari, Hon’ble Member Loksabha in the chair. Principal and Secretary, GB Dr. Abdul Motin and other distinguished members were also present. After a short welcome to the President, the meeting started and continued in a friendly and amicably harmonious environment.
On 26th January, 2019, Saturday, apart from National Flag Hoisting in the College premises with due honor and dignity Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya observed the Glorious 70th Republic Day as a part of Grand Celebration Organized by the District Administration, Purba Medinipur in the Rakhal Memorial Ground, Tamluk.
On 6thFebruary, 2019, Wednesday, Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya organised a Thalassemia Screening and Awareness Programme in collaboration with School of Tropical Medicine, Kolkata. Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder in which the body makes an abnormal form of hemoglobin.
On 19th February, 2019, Tuesday, Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya organised ‘Saheed Smaran’ (Homage to the Martyrs) after the brutal terrorist attack to the CRPF personnel in Pulwama. Principal, Teachers and the students present in this protest assembly unanimously condemned this heinous and cowardly suicide bombing attack.
On 21st February, Thursday, Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya observed International Mother Language Day under the aegis of Bengali Dept. International Mother Language Day was first announced by UNESCO (United Nations Education Scientific and cultural Organization) on 17th November 1999. It has been observed annually since 2000 on 21st February every year.
On 8th March, 2019, Friday, Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya observed International Women’s Day. Along with Principal and other Teachers and Staff, Mr. Suman Kumar Ghosh, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Purba Medinipur was present as the Chief Guest of the event.

Along with Principal and other Teachers and Staff, Mr. Swapan Paul and Mr. Rajat Ari, the Librarians of our college were present and discussed the importance and necessity of computer literacy to use library efficiently and effectively.

On 15th August, 2019, Thursday, Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya celebrated India’s 73rd Independence Day under the leadership of Principal Dr. Abdul Motin. Senior faculty members and staffviz., Prof. Anil Chakraborty Mr. Raghunath Bera etc were present along with a good number of students. NCC Cadets of our college paid homage to the National Flag and the National Heroes
On 13th September, 2019, Friday, Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya organised a special awareness camp on use of YONO app of SBI. YONO (You Only Need One) is an integrated digital banking platform offered by State Bank of India to enable users to access a variety of financial and other services such as flight, train, bus and taxi bookings, online shopping, or medical bill payments. YONO is offered as a smartphone app for both Android and iOS
On 14th September, Saturday, Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya organized a Parent-Teacher meet in the seminar hall of our college. Principal Dr. Abdul Motin delivered the Welcome Address and presided over the meeting. All the Faculty members of Mathematics Dept expressed their views regarding the syllabus, course prerequisites and other compulsory requirements under CBCS system to successfully complete, especially, the honours course.
On 17th September, 2019, Tuesday, Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya participated in NAAC Sponsored one-day Workshop on “Accreditation of HEIs by NAAC” organized by Vidyasagar University, Paschim Medinipur.The basic objective of the Workshop was to promote quality in higher education institutions.
On 26th September, 2019, Thursday, Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya organised an awareness seminar on eye donation as a part of observing 34thNATIONAL EYE DONATION FORTNIGHT from 25th August to 8th September, 2019, in collaboration with Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH), Purba Medinipur.The National Eye Donation Fortnight is observed every year from 25th August to 8th September.
During 6th to 8th Nov., 2019, Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya participated in the District Level Youth Parliament Competition under the aegis of Department of Parliamentary Affairs, Govt. of West Bengal, for the Year 2019-20. This competition was held in the SmritiSoudha, Nimtouri and SaheedMatangini College for Womens, Nimtouri, Tamluk, Purba Medinipur.
On 17th November, 2019, Sunday, Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya B. Ed. Alumni Association organized Ex-Students’ Reunion.Along with our Principal Dr. Abdul Motin, Dr. JK Nandi, Registrar, Vidyasagar University, Dr. BP Nanda, Professor, Jadavpur University, Dr. A Bera, Principal, Mahishadal Raj College were present in this meeting. The purpose of alumni association is to foster a spirit of loyalty and to promote the general welfare of the alma mater.

Principal Dr. Abdul Motin delivered the welcome address and Mr. Suman Kumar Ghosh, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority delivered the Keynote address in the seminar organized for this purpose.
On 3rd December, 2019, Tuesday, NSS and NCC units of Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya celebrated International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This is an international observance promoted by the United Nations since 1992. Persons with disabilities are “the world’s largest minority”.
On 13th December, 2019, Friday, IQAC of Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya in collaboration with 55 Bengal BN, NCC Tamluk, organised a Seminar on “Waste Management” emphasizing on solid waste especially plastic waste management.
