Hostels in academic institutions are the epicentre of the undercurrents of the campus life. The Boys’ Hostel and Girls’ Hostel provide residential facilities to about thirty and twenty undergraduate and postgraduate male and female students respectively. Admissions are strictly on the basis of merit and the resident students are expected to maintain the spirit of camaraderie and dignity. Students who need hostel accommodation are required to apply separately for the same just after admission. Scheduled caste and scheduled tribe students are given highest preference during allotment of seats of the boys’ hostel. If any seat(s) remain vacant, it is usually filled up out of the general caste student applicants giving appropriate weightage to merit and distance from residence to the college. However, generally we try to give higher preference to the honours course students over general course students.
